Breakfast is something that I love but I don’t always get to enjoy the way I want to because of our crazy early morning schedule. To help remedy this, I have come up with some simple quick and healthy breakfast ideas so I wanted to share them with you. I think many of you are the same boat as me, with busy schedules, and little time in the morning to have breakfast. Most of these you can make ahead of time or have the ingredients ready to mix so it takes no time at all. One of my secrets to keep them healthy and low calorie is using Hood Calorie Countdown. It tastes great and has the following benefits:
- 70 calories or 42% fewer calories than traditional whole milk
- 3 grams carbs or 75% fewer carbs than traditional whole milk
- 2 grams sugar or 75% less sugar than traditional whole milk
Grab a couple of Hood Calorie Countdown in different flavors (whole, chocolate, 2% or 1%) from Walmart next time you are there. Use this and check out these following quick and healthy breakfast ideas:
Smoothie
Smoothies are one of my favorite go-to breakfasts because they are packed with vitamins and other nutrients as well as giving me a lot of great natural energy. You don’t have to add just fruit, I love adding spinach, kale, avocado, and other veggies to mine too. The one we made for breakfast had 1 cup of yogurt, two cups of ice, 1 1/2 cups of frozen fruit, 1-2 cups of juice and 1-2 cups of Hood Calorie Countdown.
Fruit & Fruit Dip
Fresh fruit combined with a simple fruit dip recipe makes a great breakfast that is healthy and delicious. It also stores well, so you can use it over a few days, saving time. There are several different varieties to make. You can use yogurt, cream cheese, marshmallow fluff, or several other things. Combine this with a glass of Hood Calorie Countdown and you are set!
Breakfast Cookie Bar
These are something that you can make ahead and have on hand to eat on the go or even put into your kids’ (or your own) lunch boxes. You can make them elaborate or as simple as you like. There is nothing better than milk and cookies – and you can enjoy your breakfast cookie bar with a glass of Hood Calorie Countdown on our way to work or school.
Oatmeal
Oatmeal is something I grew up on and I make it for my kids because it is filling and healthy. Combine it with Hood Calorie Countdown and you have a low-calorie breakfast packed with fiber and calcium. Add some fresh fruit, almonds or a little brown sugar and you have a home-run.
Protein Shake
Having a protein shake right after you workout is great for your body. If you like to workout first thing in the morning, then be sure to drink a protein shake right afterward for optimal benefits. Be sure to make it with Hood Calorie Countdown so you can reap all of the benefits.
I have been using Hood Calorie Countdown for several weeks now and I love the difference and that I can have the dairy that I love without the added calories, sugars or carbs. It is one more step to living that healthy lifestyle that I have been working towards. Do you have health and fitness goals that you are working towards? Be sure to get Hood Calorie Countdown at Walmart next time you are there and integrate it into your diet.

I do like to have smoothies but I usually tend to drink them more lunch time rather than morning. I usually skip breakfast as my body doesn’t feel like having food first thing it wakes up.

Smoothies and oatmeal are my 2 favorite healthier breakfast ideas for during the week. On the weekends, I love to good eggs and stuff which might not be the best, but at least the healthier stuff during the week evens it out!

Smoothies are so quick and easy to put together. I tend to make them at anytime during the day, especially if I do not have enough time for a meal. My favorite smoothie is banana, peach, and strawberry!
