I love the holidays but they can be a little stressful when you have company come. We are always doing something with family and friends and so it means that I have a supply of treats on hand and a quick way to get my house in working order. I have a lot of yummy treat recipes, but one of our favorites is 5 layer brownies that we dip in chocolate and add sprinkles for that extra holiday look. These are a great easy treat that you can make and pop in the oven and then get some quick cleaning done while they are baking. It is perfect for when you have company coming and want to have a delicious snack to share as well as have your floors looking nice. Because we have a cat and a dog that like to hang around inside the house as well as four kids who know no bounds when it comes to making messes – I need something powerful to help me clean up quickly so I turn to my BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Carpet Cleaner that makes my life so much easier. It is the perfect solution for a clean home during the holidays.

To make the 5 layer brownies you will need a few things:
- Brownie mix
- 1 egg
- Butter
- Coconut (shredded and sweetened)
- Chocolate Chips
- Chocolate sandwich cookies (chopped into small bits)
- Can of sweetened condensed milk
Optional:
- Chocolate Bark
- Gold or Silver sprinkles
- Caramel
To start, you will want to make the brownie mix with butter and the egg and then pour it into a greased baking dish and cook for about 12-14 minutes. Take it out and add a layer of coconut, a layer of chopped pecans, and a layer of cookie bits. Then you will take the sweetened condensed milk and pour it evenly over the top of the layers. Cover with foil and bake at 325 degrees for about 15 minutes and then take the foil off and bake for another 20 minutes. This will help to keep it from browning to fast on top.

While the bars are cooking you will have time to get some cleaning done. I was able to vacuum my floors while the brownies were cooking for the 15 minutes before I added the extra toppings. Then while it was cooking for the 20 minutes with the foil on, I was able to use my BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Carpet Cleaner and deep clean the floors. It was quick and effective with the express clean mode and I had my house looking new in no time. The Express Clean mode allows me to get my carpets dazzling (it took about 10 minutes for me to clean my living room area) and they were dry in just one hour. The BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Carpet Cleaner is also lightweight and easy to maneuver. I am a busy mom so I need to utilize the time I have. I am sure you can relate. Between work and my family I don’t want to have to spend a lot of time cleaning, so when I can get a lot of the mess cleaned up quicker I am all for it!

The BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Carpet Cleaner has two rotating power brushes and uses antibacterial formula to make sure your house is clean and looks nice without a lot of hard word. It was simple to put together and along with the cleaning of the power brushes it also comes with a hose that you can attach to use and clean hard to reach places. There are a few different formulas that I prefer to use because they work really well. The 2X Pet Stain & Odor Remover helps remove pet stains and soil from the carpet and it also contains a Scotchgard that helps prevent future staining. We had had to use the Professional Pet Urine Eliminator Formula that is great for removing strong odors caused by urine when my cat gets in a mood. It does a great job of removing the stain and smell. It is the best BISSELL pet machine formula to help with pet urine issues. Don’t forget to grab a bottle of the Pet Oxy Boost Carpet Cleaning Formula Enhancer to add to your preferred solution. It is a carpet cleaning formula enhancer that is designed to permanently remove tough pet stains, guaranteed. It also contains Oxy which I love because it works so well. (this is meant to be used in addition to a regular formula and not alone).

Now that your carpets are cleaned and drying – your brownies should be ready to take out of the oven. Pull them out and let cool. This is a great time to get the dishes done 😉 Cut them into squares or bars and serve. (They taste great hot, but after they have completely cooled and setup they are absolutely amazing!) They are also delicious with vanilla ice cream. You can also take the bars (once cooled) and dip them halfway into melted chocolate bark. Add about 1 tsp of oil to the chocolate as you are heating it so that it makes it less “hard” when it dries. After you dip it in the chocolate sprinkle it with the gold or silver sprinkles for a holiday pop. These are great in bags with a bow and make a great treat or gift!
