I love making breakfast for my kids, especially themed around the holidays. We just make a fun, spooky and delicious Halloween breakfast. So I wanted to show you our Halloween Breastfast Ideas that we came up with so you can recreate this for your family.
We made purple scrambled eggs; orange, black and green pancakes; sausage “fingers”; and ghost face hard-boiled eggs. We also added some pineapple so they could have some fruit, but mandarin oranges would have been great too. We added blueberries and whip cream to the top of the pancakes to look like alien eyes.
Halloween Breakfast Ideas
For the pancakes, we made one big bowl of pancake batter and then separated it into three bowls. We added black, green, and orange food coloring and mixed well. Then I cooked them on a griddle one color at a time. Stack them up and add small blobs of whip cream topping and then put a blueberry on each blob.
To make the scrambled eggs, just Crack the eggs into a bowl, then add a bunch of purple food coloring and mix well. Once the eggs are ready, cook them in a greased frying pan until done.
We made the hard-boiled eggs in our electric pressure cooker. If you haven’t done this before- it is super easy and the eggs peel perfectly. Just get an egg trivet, put 1 cup of water in the bottom, and then put the cooker to 7 mins on the steam or egg setting. When they are done, turn it off, release the pressure and remove the lid. Then put the eggs straight into an ice bath for about 5 minutes. I used a metal skewer to poke the eyes and mouth out.
For the sausages, we just cooked them and then added whole almonds on the top to look like fingernails.
