If you are looking for a fun and easy treat to make with your kids for Halloween this year – then you have to try this Skeleton Bones Recipe! These tasty treats have been one of their favorites so far this year. They are a lot of fun to make and eat – so they will be entertained for a while. You simple take a pretzel stick – put a mini marshmallow on each end, dip it in white chocolate and then put it on wax or parchment paper and let it set. You can also stick them in the fridge.
I let them make a ton of the pretzel stick and marshmallow combinations, even though I didn’t melt enough chocolate for them to dip all of them they enjoyed eating them. Putting them together is half the fun.
We all took turns making them. Even my three year old turn a few rounds. It was fun and gooey and yummy. This would be a great thing to do on Halloween as well.
Once they dry you can arrange them on a plate to look like bones. There are many different things you can serve them with like eyeballs, fingers, and other spooky yummy treats to have a while buffet of grossness. lol. My kids can’t wait to put it all together.
For this Skeleton Bones Recipe you will take a handful of pretzel sticks, and mini marshmallows and start putting them together by sticking one mini marshmallow on the end of each pretzel stick. When you have what you want done -get your chocolate melted. We did about 25 stick combos, and I took 1/2-1 cup of white chocolate (bar or melts) and melted them in the microwave stirring every 30 seconds until the chocolate was melted. I added a little bit of oil to the chocolate so that it didn’t set up so hard. Mix well and then have fun dipping your pretzel/marshmallow combos into the chocolate. Make sure you put them on a wax paper or parchment paper to set.
I love how they turned out. It is a great Halloween snack!
