This moist delicious slow cooker Lemon Garlic Chicken Drumstick recipe is so easy and tastes (and looks) like you spent hours in the kitchen. In reality, it takes about 10 minutes to prep and 10 minutes to set out and you have a gourmet meal your whole family will love!
I love doing this (and other slow cooker recipes) on busy days when I want to make sure that my family has a good meal at the end of the day. I also use my electric pressure cooker (a.k.a. Instant Pot) a lot. This can be adjusted for your pressure cooker, just cook for 30 minutes (thawed) or 45 minutes (frozen).

Lemon Garlic Chicken Drumsticks
Ingredients
- 5 lbs. chicken drumsticks (frozen or thawed)
- 1 lemon cut into slices
- 1 clove of garlic, sliced
- Lemon Pepper seasoning
Directions
- First, you will want to take your chicken and rinse it. Then you will put it in the slow cooker.
- Next, you will add the garlic. (optional to add sliced carrots and onion here as well)
- Now you will add the seasonings. (lemon pepper to taste)
- Then slice a lemon and lay the slices on top of the chicken in the slow cooker.
- I added about 1/2 cup of water to the bottom to keep it from sticking to the edges. I also rotated the chicken about every 45 minutes, but you don’t have to do that unless you are home.
- Once you have everything in (it should take about 5-10 minutes to prep), turn your slow cooker on, put the lid on and let the magic happen 🙂
- Cook on HI for 3-4 hours, or low for 6-8 hours.

We served our lemon garlic chicken with pan-seared green beans. It is delicious. It does have a strong lemon flavor. You can take out the real lemon to lesson the flavor and add less lemon pepper seasoning and add other seasonings like Montreal Steak Seasoning, etc.
If you are looking for silicon tongs like the ones in the picture above, you can get a great multi-size set of tongs on Amazon.com for a great price. I use these for EVERYTHING – they are heat resistant (think BBQ grilling) and are great for cooking, prepping, and serving.
Your whole family will love this delicious dish.
