We love having our garden to pick from throughout the summer. Because our plants are doing so well this year, we have had to get creative in how we use the veggies we are harvesting. One of those things is Zucchini. While we were at Walmart today, we picked up some Tyson® Grilled and Ready® Chicken Breast Strips and I thought how yummy it would be with Zucchini Alfredo and fresh cherry tomatoes! The dish turned out amazing! With all of the hustle and bustle of back to school I need quick and easy meals to get me through the week, and so I look for delicious foods that make it easier for me to get dinner ready quicker.
I grabbed a few things like the sauce, chicken, noodles and bacon at Walmart, and used the fresh tomatoes and zucchini out of our garden. It was easy to find everything I needed and my kids were so excited when I got home with the food I bought. Another thing I love about getting the Tyson® Grilled and Ready® Chicken Breast Strips, is the Tyson Project A+™. All I have to do is clip the label on the package, send it with my kids to school, and the school can redeem it for $0.24 to use with whatever they need. It doesn’t sound like much, but it can add up really quick.
My kids loved helping me with the preparing and cooking and putting it together. I took a fresh Zucchini from our garden, peeled it and then diced about half of it. I took another part of it, and used the potato peeler to create long “peels” and put that in the pasta as well. These added a great flavor to the dinner and add some additional nutrition as well. I don’t know about you, but I love sneaking in veggies and fruits whenever I can – and this was a great way to get it in without them really noticing.
While the noodles and Zucchini were boiling, I put the Tyson® Grilled and Ready® Chicken Breast Strips in a pan and heated them up. They smelled so good and tasted better. Heating them up was very easy and since they are fully cooked, it took way less time. Two more great things about the chicken is that they are 97% fat free and 100% all natural, made with all white meat. They taste like I just grilled them and sliced them, and because of the effortless way I can incorporate them, they make a great addition to any meal.
Once the noodles and zucchini are done cooking, you will want to drain them, then add a pile of noodles to the plate, cover in sauce, then add a few strips of the chicken over the top, add some tomatoes and sprinkle the bacon on top. It turned out really good. This is a simple recipe that you can have ready in less than 20 minutes!
